Great upgrade over the limited the older basic Z6II but this newer better Z6 III just launched with a crazy price , too expensive. I'd like to know who and how many people are going to pay $4500 AUD or 3000 euros or $4000 +tax CAD , $2500 USD for this ? nuts crazy prices , NiKON are having all of you on because they looked at the google data and saw how popular rumours and searches for the mysterious Z6III were, so they jacked the prices up , thought great we can charge a crazy price people will just buy it now . NIKON are wrong and they have made a mistake, people won't stump up this crazy price, only a few will and people who can claim it on tax will be the first lot of buyers then it won't sell . Expecting heavy discounting after 6 months . It won't sell as well as D850 or first mirrorless Z6 Z7 did . Nikon know this thats why they have hesitated and its taken over four years for this version to be dropped it was probably already boxed stored in the NIKON holding yards for over 12 months ago, but they hesitated and waited due to global inflation and cost of living pressures . And there is no more Z7III as Z8 is the replacement now that remarkably is being discounted now closer to the launch price of Z6III, so you buy the Z8 not the Z6III. Z6III , Its's too much money now with global cost of living pressures. Launch price needed to be $2000 USD $2999 AUD. $2499+tx CAD.

It's great to see some more video centric bodies in the Z line. It feels like Nikon is starting to hold its own with Sony. Hopefully, we can get an FX3/FX6 equivalent in the near future.

Can you attach two transmitters to your phone to record two people in the same video?

The point of making the evf high res and brighter is to make it close to real world simualte an ovf. It is helpful when both eye open, one in the evf and the other is scanning the sorroundings it will match the brightness outside and the higher resolution of our human eye.hekpful when one eye is tracking bird

A good overall review and even though I am not a "content creator" I found it interesting. I opted to upgrade from the Z6II to the Z6III after seriously considering the Z8. However, I totally disagree with your preference of NO EVF. This camera is still a great photo centric option especially if one doesn't have a budget for a Z8. As a hiker I appreciate the lighter and smaller package of the Z6 line. As more of a photo shooter I would hate to see the EVF go away. I also appreciate the potential of the brighter EVF since I like to wear sunglasses and find most EVFs adequate but would prefer a bit more brightness. I think Nikon will have a real challenge to create a Z7III because the space between the Z6II and Z8 is very narrow. IMO, the Z7III would only be viable with a Z8II to open up the space. That all being said, this first impression was pretty fair. It didn't suffer from being a "love fest" nor a hatchet job. Good work.

If you're in the UK its a definite skip. You guys are so lucky that its $2500 in the states. It cost £2700 in the UK which is $3425. We have to pay $1000 more for the exact same camera as you guys. At this price it is absolutely not worth it for us, especially if you are a photographer who never shoots video like me. However, you can pick up a canon r6 II or sony a7 iv here for £1000 ($1300) less than a Z6 III or currently, with the sale, you can get a Z8 for £500 ($650) more. We are getting screwed big time over here.

Hi; question thats probably best answered by you; been getting more into convention photography and occasionally sports on a Z6ii, both non-profesionally so far - was thinking about going up to a Z8, maybe a Z9, and keeping the Z6ii as a "backup" body, but with this announcement would it be feasible to trade in the 6ii for a 6iii and hold off on the Z8? So far havent done any prints, so not sure the extra megapixels is needed

Noise is awful after ISO3200. Colors bad too. If not for vloging, this camera can't be on par with DSLR. You should show the footage of what you filmed from Pocket 3, when you said it's good with noise at ISO16000.

Great tip as usual! I'm still a beginner but one of my tip for other beginners such as me would be... get a 56mm or 75mm as soon as you can! If you shoot Sony/Fuji APSC, get Sigma 56mm F1.4! or 75mm F1.2 Viltrox! It's very challenging to shoot portraits with a wider lens imo. I'm still amazed how many people love the compression that the 56mm-75mm has! Almost certainly they'll love the images, no matter the composition, the bokeh would cover up our still-learning-composition big time!

Hello great video! I bought it just today too, but how did you get the images when it was on the camera? Free frame? I noticed that with the go 3 in free frame I had the same FOV, with this one no... On UA-cam I mostly post BTS like this!

What lut did you use for the video footage? Looks neat. I can tell that's not the free frame pre edited footage right?

hello I bought the mic 2 too but am confused. I see that you also play the guitar, so here I bought this microphone just to record a rock concert, to try, I plug in my stereo at home and I play the music a little loudly to see the behavior the result is disastrous because when listening to the rendering, the sound is very low, so what I do is go up to 12 db on the transmitters and also on the receiver, so all the way up and there it goes a little better but not great. so who tried to record them when you play an instrument? could you help me? THANKS

The 105mm f1.4 might not be THE SHARPEST of all lenses, not saying is not sharp. but, to me, is THE BEST combination of focal lenght/aperture. It just give the best compression and bokeh. The only lens that does even better is the 200mm f2, but is big, heavy, cost the price of a car and ou need to be too far to get full body shots. The 105mm f1.4 just give the melt down foregroud and brings the background closer to the subject in a way that 85 and 50 can't do it. I wish they made a new version for z mount and updated the optics with new tecnology.
